Job expectations and levels of commitment change across career stage and life span. Yet, generational perspectives remain fairly constant over time. As educators, these perspectives affect how we: view learning; interact with colleagues; work with parents; and evaluate our circumstances. This presentation will help participants envision new pathways to influence and inspire teachers. Clearly, young teachers have a different outlook and orientation toward teaching than their older counterparts. If we want to put learning at the forefront of our work, we must build generationally friendly workplaces.
